According to the Ministry of Health, the COVID-19 vaccines are safe and effective. You will need two doses for the best protection against COVID-19. After your final COVID-19 vaccine dose, it takes two weeks for your body to build up protection. After those two weeks, you are considered fully vaccinated.

Vaccine Hesitancy

The Government of Guyana’s attempts to impose Mandatory vaccinations have been met with fierce resistance. Vaccine hesitance continues to fuel fierce public outrage and debate.

Nigel London summed up the concerns of thousands of Guyanese when he responded to a post by Regional Chairman, Region 10 Mr. Deron Adams. The Chairman had used his Facebook Profile, assumedly in an effort to inform and maybe encourage us in the region to be vaccinated.

Seeking answers London responded stating firstly “You have not addressed the ‘common concerns’ of many Guyanese and Lindeners.”

He then posted these five questions to the Chairman:

  1. Are the vaccines issued under the “Emergency USE Authorization” protocol only?
  2. Are they “EXPERIMENTAL”?
  3. Can the government be held liable in court if I suffer harm or death; after taking a vaccine?
  4. WHAT are the ADVERSE effects that can be experienced after taking them?
  5. Why are the vaccinated NOT being tested (subjected to PAYING for their PCR tests); when the CDC plainly stated that they CAN be infected AND spread the virus as well?

Those are common concerns. I would be grateful if you or the R.H.O can assist in definitively answering those. It is not clear if the Chairman responded.

The fight against Covid-19 which is now getting personal, seems to be against the enforcers of the national vaccine efforts. Its them against those who are seeking clarity on the dangers of the vaccine.

Many believe that both the vaccinated and unvaccinated, can and will contract and possibly die from Covid-19 if infected.
